I started doing things I didn’t understand.

I said, “Hey Higher Power, why am I doing this?”
And my Higher Power’s answer went something like this.

Your whole life has been nothing but an act.
And you aren’t even participating.
It’s more like you’re reading.
Eagerly waiting,
To see what happens next.
You’re just thumbing through the text.

It’s time that you author, the book of your life.
